7. Comprehensive Business Ethical Anomie: Profit Supremacy and Multiple Breaches of Corporate Fundamental Responsibilities
Synthesizing six dimensions including technical report flaws, chemical fiber ecological hazards, greenwashing deception, EU compliance evasion, global industrial exploitation, and chemical fiber waste accumulation conspiracy, it is confirmed that the targeted international fast-fashion brand prioritizes profit maximization as the sole operational goal, severely breaching four fundamental corporate responsibilities: consumer rights protection, international regulatory compliance, global ecological governance, and labor rights protection, resulting in severe business ethical deficiencies.
First, consumer fraud and breach of honest business principles. Brands deliberately release incomplete and one-sided technical reports, concealing core hazards of petrochemical fibers including microplastic pollution, chemical contamination, non-degradability, and permanent textile waste accumulation. Information asymmetry is exploited to build false eco-friendly brand images and induce consumer purchases, constituting typical misleading commercial fraud.
Second, disregard for international environmental regulations and deliberate evasion of carbon traceability obligations. Despite awareness of upcoming stringent EU carbon footprint traceability and anti-greenwashing systems, brands refuse to establish third-party verifiable full-chain traceability systems, occupying market share through ambiguous and unsubstantiated environmental promotion and intentionally evading statutory cross-border textile environmental responsibilities.

Against the global consensus of green circular economy, the entire commercial system built by fast-fashion brand cooling-feel and quick-dry chemical fiber functional series represents a pseudo-green development model rooted in petrochemical pollution, greenwashing deception, international rule evasion, global ecological and labor exploitation, and permanent textile waste generation, concealing the deep-seated industry conspiracy of collective chemical fiber promotion to aggravate planetary ecological burden.
First, while basic physical performance data in brand fabric technical reports is authentic, systematic flaws including absent third-party verification, concealed ecological hazards, blank supply chain and carbon footprint data, and EU compliance ineffectiveness reduce the documents to sales-oriented promotional materials without objective evaluation value. Current global textile supervision fails to effectively constrain such misleading promotional content.
Second, petroleum-based nylon and polyester core materials generate sustained microplastic and chemical soil-water pollution throughout raw material production, daily laundering, and waste disposal lifecycles with zero natural degradability. It fully dissects the industry’s profit-driven model of sustained ecological destruction and permanent waste accumulation, calling for an immediate end to ecologically damaging industrial practices and promoting genuine low-carbon, circular, and equitable sustainable development of the global textile industry.
8.3 Multi-Dimensional Reflections and Countermeasures
1. Regulatory Dimension: National market supervision authorities should align with EU anti-greenwashing and Digital Product Passport regulations to establish mandatory environmental evidence disclosure systems for textile green marketing. All apparel labeled “sustainable, recycled, or eco-friendly” must be accompanied by third-party verified carbon footprint and pollution detection reports. Cross-border textile supply chain traceability verification mechanisms shall be improved to regulate disorderly chemical fiber capacity expansion, introduce special control policies for cross-border textile waste dumping and landfilling, and severely penalize unsubstantiated false green promotion.
